If you’re like me, you probably have an entire drawer dedicated to leggings. But somehow in my massive collection, I have yet to come across a pair that will actually stay up on my hips during workouts. To me, there’s nothing worse than tugging on your tights during a yoga class because your leggings keep falling down. Recently, I recently came across Athleta’s Salutation tights ($89; athleta.com), and it looks like they might be the perfect solution.
I’m not the only one who thinks so, either. More than 1000 people have left five-star reviews on the brand website. According to the description, these aren’t your run-of-the-mill workout pants. The leggings are made with a three-layer waistband that’s lined with mesh to keep them from sagging, saving you from the risk of mooning your workout buddies.
One thing to note about these leggings is that many reviewers recommended sizing down.
“I am 5’4″ and 130 lbs (workout 5x week) and the XS fits nicely,” another reviewer wrote. “The S fit too, but it didn’t feel like the waist would stay up as well over time. It’s more of a preference for the XS fit for me since both sizes work”
“I am 5’6″ and 170 lbs,” another reviewer wrote. “I purchased both the medium and large and find that the medium was best for me because it was tighter in the waist.”
Athleta Salutation tights are available in regular, tall, petite, and plus categories. So go ahead, grab a pair, and give them that good ol’ squat test.
